Singorama is one of the most popular vocal tuition programs
available on the net, and probably one of the most affordable. The software
is listed for $199 but I've seen it discounted to $99 several times.
Singorama is structured as a series of 28 lessons, which take
you through all the basic techniques you need in order to get your singing
up and going. It does cover some more advanced techniques as well - see the
detailed descriptions of each of the lessons on their website.
It also comes with some nifty extras - a simple recording program,
a software metronome, and an ear training course.
The Singorama website has
a heap of information about the course - Emily Mander has obviously put a
lot bit of work into it and it covers all the bases. She also includes lots
of testimonials from people who have used the program - including a few recordings
from happy customers (don't be put off be the poor recording quality of some
of the audio - they sound sincere!)
If you're a beginner I think this is a good course - for someone
more advanced you're probably better going for the Vocal
Release or
Singing Success program which I would say
has more in depth training - and follow-on courses.
Cost
Full Version - $199.95
Discounted price (when available) - $99.95
I had another look at their site - they're now offering
more "freebies" including vocal warmup exercises, a lesson on
interval singing using the Solfege method, and exercises for extending
your vocal
range. They've also doubled the money-back guarantee
to 8 weeks.
And it looks like they are running their half price discount again. Obviously
the competition is hotting up!
